Sep. 5th, 2005 02:12 amWell, I finally have some pics to post! This isn't my best work, and I don't have anything recent (like my memory wire bracelet....wah) but I just wanted to share some photos with you guys. :)
Just a warning - VERY image heavy. Haha, look under cut at own risk. :P
This is a hat that I made almost a year ago. (Heh, told ya they were old) It's just crochet (sc) and it was made with Jiffy Thick and Quick. I got the yarn for my birthday, and I thought it would make a nice hat. :)

This scarf came from a neat free pattern I found online. I can link it to you guys if anyone's interested.

This one was freeformed, and pretty simple. But, if you'd like me to come up with a loose pattern, I can share. :)

Nothing really special about this. Actually, haha, I don't even like the colors. I had the scrap yarn, and so I just decided to whip something up. I figure I'll sell it or give it away. I love teal and pink, but purple is NOT my color, so this really isn't me.

You can't tell because the picture doesn't capture it so well, but this is a necklace made from black irridescent glass beads and the pendant is a large abalone shell.

Close-up of the pendant

I love this necklace. Not sure if the colors are done justice by this picture, but the beads are some sort of moonstoon-esque stone/glass, and yellowish/greenish glass beads. The pendant is actually a pin I found at a dollar store. :) I think it somehow has a very aztec look.

Matching bracelet, although the lighting is different, so the colors might look off.

This bracelet is made from pale blue stones with splotches of gold here and there. This is probably my best example of how the picture doesn't do it justice. This has a very eastern feel to it, but the picture just sort of makes it look blah. *shrugs*

A bracelet I made for a friend's birthday. The blue beads are fiber-optic and are really shiny/sparkly. There were perfect for my friend - she loved it. :) I made matching earrings too, but I forgot to take a picture of them.

This is what made my friend ask for that bracelet. It was inspired by this one. It's not actually all slanted like that....it was just lying on the table at an odd angle making each "peak" and "valley" look a bit skewed.

Crystal necklace. (Ha, well, except the large bead in the center of the pendant. That's actually plastic)

These ever-so-gaudy earrings were made from huge vintage beads I bought in Cape Cod. (I like my jewelry big!!)

A shawl I'm working on. It's about 2/3 done. I think I'd actually like to put beads on the tassels....anyone have any advice on how to do that? I know, duh, just knot it. :P But, I'm wondering how to get it so each tassel is knotted in the same place. I'm afraid that if I try to just eyeball it, they won't all be even. Suggestions?

Pink beaded bracelet. All the large beads are vintage....they actually were on a necklace that belonged to my exboyfriend's grandmother.

Matching necklace from the same beads......

Just plain silver tube beads. But, this bracelet is particularly sparkly. I get a lot of compliments.

And lastly, this bracelet's long beads are this gorgeous, deep teal color....but of course, you can't really see that because of the crappy camera I was using. :(

Thanks for takin' a peek. :)
