Hey girls, I just wanted to tell you how something worked out. I ended up making my boy a book (he's the well-off, perfect gift-giver, come on, you remember) and he loved it! I bound it myself, and used everything I could get my hands on: pastels, acrylics, watercolors, pencil, cut paper, collage, googly eyes, movie tickets...and on and on. In the back, I cut a square out of maybe 50 or so pages, to make a shadow box, and I made him some coupons. You know the deal: massages, expensive dinners, french kiss in public (he's into PDA, I'm not), and a couple "wild cards" for good measure.

My digital camera is dead. Yeah, I know. I'm sorry! But your suggestions were marvelous, I knew I could count on you girls. <3

BTW, as I predicted, he gave me something expensive and perfect...its an original 1946 copy of Don Quixote de la Mancha, with original lithographs of illustrations by Salvadore Dali. It's incredible...I'm so lucky and happy.
