Hat & scarf set
Sep. 13th, 2005 10:49 pmNot even 24 hours ago, I sat down to teach myself how to make a hat...
I made the Simply Cloche from the Hip to Crochet book.
I ended up with a bit of leftover yarn (I used Manos del Uruguay's Manos Cotton Stria) I decided to try a go at basic lace and ended up with a sort of scarf/headband tie thing.

I sort of look like a giant hackey(sp?) sack.
Edit: just in case it's not obvious, that's a flared out brim, not a rolled up one... I just wanted to clarify XD

Try not to look up my nose.
I also made some assorted basic flowers...one in pink and one two tone with both colors.
They may not look like anything special, but I'm very proud of myself because I have a very, very hard time learning things out of a book, especially crocheting because of the abbreviations.
