The back:

Made using a standard women's western shirt pattern. Using a yard of cotton eye chart fabric I got for stupid cheap at Joannes.
Made the cording around the black accent parts.
Did the embroidery freehand using chalk to put down the outlines then several colors of DMC floss.
Painted the eyes on with plain old hobby paint (it's been hand washed two times now and seems to hold up just peachy)
did some top stitching on the collar and cuffs in red thread since I ran out of red cording and I wanted to continue the theme.
And the buttons are sew on button vs the snap on pearly buttons, which I have used before and these are much easier to work with and put on.
