I got so friggen frustrated with this thing.. first, I tried paint. It didn't work, so I removed it. Then I tried makeup. Also didn't work, so I got mad and chucked it across the yard. Then I decided if I wanted it to look like she got beat up before she died, I'd just beat her up. I coated her face with charcoal from the fire pit, kicked her around the yard to get her hair all tangled and her clothes dirty, and ripped her tights. I then painted some blood on her, and amputated a finger for an added touch. I think she will not get a tomb like the other one we have, a leaf pile or something would be more appropriate. I'm so angry that she came out not great, but she'll still add to the ambience in the yard. Any suggestions for next time?

My mom made this one last year. It was our first attempt at a crypt and although the text is hard to read, I really like the angel attachment. It reads:
"Dolly
Ope'd my eyes,
Took a peek,
Didn't like it,
Went to sleep"
She also peeled the "skin" off the head and added raised features to make it look more demonic (it had been an animatronic doll of some kind, I think).
We also made tombstones in the same way as the crypt. They are a little rustic still, but better than our plywood/painted-straight-on-to ones.

It's hard to tell but the black parts are cut out so there is depth, and the vampire/bat on the top of Dracula's is much better looking "IRL".

This one needs something, but I don't know what. Suggestions?
We're also looking for some sweet ideas for this:

We thought of a fountain spitting blood, or snakes/worms/maggots coming out of the eyes or who knows what.
