crafts shows?

craftgrrli know that a lot of you ladies participate in craft shows, so i have a few questions for you.
i have been looking around for local shows [im in poughkeepsie NY] and i was wondering:
how do you guys find out about these shows? ive been googling my butt off, but i cant seem to find any good sites; if you know any, please share :)
how do you know / is there any way to know what your audience is going to be like? i dont want to pay for a table at a show full of 50 year old+ people
