Sep. 17th, 2005 11:11 pmHere's a pocketshrine I've been working on most of the summer. Now that school's started, I probably won't get much further on it, even though it's not complete.
I covered an altoid tin with sculpey, painted it and sealed it.
The window was painted with acrylics as well. The teddy bear, pillow, star, and blanket were all done in sculpey and acrylics. The silver bed dealy was on a necklace of mine.
The picture pasted along the "ceiling" above the bear was an art project for my senior year in school. It means dream in Russian. We had to illustrate whatever word we chose. There's my attempt at illustrating dream. I took a picture of the project, shrunk it down and printed it.
I trimmed the outside of the tin with black ribbon and wrote "dream" over and again in silver cursive letters. I attempted to show this with my camera, but the one picture I took of it was super blurry and I don't feel like taking a new one.
The back is the music for Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven with the kanji for Dream and of course, my signature.
