My first attempt at an altered book...Beware 15 pics!

I finally located where I had put these pics on my computer, so I decided to share :)



I made this altered book for my friend Kat. She is a big fan of Amy Lee/Evanescence. Sorry the pics are a bit crappy!

The cover I painted black, added a piece of grommet belt, an embossed cd and a paper rose.



I added a dark red ribbon to close.





Here I cut a niche',framed it in beads, and added a painted wooden heart. I also drilled holes through and bound some pages with fibers that have dangling carved bone skull beads.



Here I used raised enamel star stickers.

















Here I tried to copy some of the drawings that were on Amy's shirt.



Hard to see, but here I used a AOL plastic cd thingy and added sequince to make a shaker.
