Sep. 24th, 2005 07:53 pmI recently participated in a Stash Swap on another forum. We had to make something functional, something wearable and something fun using only the items in our current craft stash - we were not allowed to purchase new pieces.
These are the items I made for my swap partner. Seeing 99% of my stash is kimono fabric....that is what I used. This was the first craft swap I've ever participated in...so I was a touch nervous. Thankfully - she loved everything!
Something Functional: Handbag

Another photo of the bag
Lining of the bag - it has chrysanthemum patterns
Something Wearable: Reversible belt - (one side is plain black silk and the other side is kanoko shibori) and two kanzashi
Something Fun: An Owl

Something Fun: Cat toys for Qwerty's kitties made with scrap kimono fabric
