Tacky Glue and some FOs
Sep. 27th, 2005 11:46 pmHi there Craftgrrls... I'm working on a present for a friend and I'm almost finished but I need some Tacky Glue. The problem is, I already have two or three bottles of Tacky Glue that are almost full, but I cannot get the glue to come out no matter what I do! This is getting annoying and I'm sick of buying more, does anyone have ideas to unstick my Tacky Glue? (If it helps, I'm gluing pieces of felt together, then embroidering them to a lined knitted item).
And so it's not text only, I've been taking a break from my sweater from hell to knit some quick fall projects.
I should be asleep but I'm posting pictures of some of my instant gratification knitting projects as of late. I cast on for Voodoo Armwarmers today using the same yarn that I used for my Organic Cotton Scarf.
The first pictures are a present for
spillyjane. These are hand/armwarmers using some tweedy stash yarn and brown felt with a little tan embroidery to hold the felt pieces on. I kept them a little big for my hands because my hands are smaller than most. Also it seems like no matter what I did the right one wanted to be a tad bigger than the left.

Sorry for the crapass pictures, it was late and I suck at photography.
Here's my second scarf in just a few weeks, it's this vintage acrylic craziness from the 70s that is the brightest red I've ever seen (it's not orange despite how it may look in the picture). I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the world who likes this color red, but so be it. I used a "fir cone" stitch pattern from my stitch-a-day calendar (see the pine cones?) More than the pine cones, though, I like the swirly round pools in between the pine cones, it looks kinda psychedelic to me. I am futilely attempting to block it here, which I think may have worked against all accounts of nature.

After the armwarmers, I'm on to hats, which I'm not that familiar with and particularly picky about so it could get interesting.
