I have been making jewelry since I was in high school. I loathe divulging how long ago that really was.

I'm still perfecting my techniques, but there has been marked improvement over the years. And who could ask for more than that?

This is a necklace I made yesterday while my babe was sleeping. It took me about an hour and a half.

I used sterling silver wire, 24 gauge. It's a little more delicate than I would like, but I was out of 22. (My 17 month old pulled on it while I was wearing it yesterday and it didn't break or bend or anything so maybe it's good with the 24.) The bigger beads are hematite, the smaller ones are sort of a metallic green glass bead. The charm is marcasite.
