I had wanted a mirror for my foyer for awhile (nothing like a quick check for bats in the batcave as you run out the door for work), but everything I found that I liked was much more than what I was willing to pay for and most of the affordable stuff was boring and ugly. My solution: make my own mirror! I bought a cheap mirror ($5!) at the thrift store, spray painted the crappy frame baby pink with silver glitter, and then glued my lifetime collection of tiny gumball machine toys, game pieces, broken jewelry and charms to it and ta-da: I came out with a freakin' cool mirror.
