so, i've been obsessed with braces for as long as i can remember. naturally, being my nerdy self, i want to get them. unfortunately, my teeth don't need them. i came across this site, and was automatically extremely excited. what you do is send them a mold of your teeth and they'll make fake braces. they fit sort of like a retainer; there's an acrylic piece that goes behind your teeth on the roof of your mouth. you can put them in and take them out as you would a retainer, too.

i want to order them, but my parents think it's weird and stupid ["why the hell would you want them? you don't need them."], they'd be expensive [over $300], and i'd risk losing the money because you have to send cash to them by mail because that company's in the UK and i like NJ.

so basically, this is my question: is there a way i can make similar ones myself? or, maybe, is there somewhere they make them in the USA? i'd feel better-- even if i couldn't find them under $300-- sending like a check or something.
