Bias tape. I am trying to sew, for my first project ever, an apron for my 4 year-old. It's a relatively easy pattern, so the lady at JoAnn's told me. But the bias tape and I are not speaking.

Edited to add: The problem I'm having is that I can't get it on straight, and it bunches up under the foot when I sew it with the machine. So far, every bit I've done with the bias tape looks like utter crap.

What is the trick???
