Hello!

This is something I've done once or twice with mildly good results, and I was wondering if anyone could offer any tips or anything... (Text only post - sorry!!)

I'm talking about decoupage - but my own strange form of decoupage, in which I take recycled jars (from gravy and such) and glue fancy bits of party napkins and other paper things onto them. We've got some really cool Halloween napkins with skulls and bones, and "trick or treat" on them, and I really wanted to immortalize these neato designs in such a way. Ones that I've done in the past, I've just Elmers glued cut-out bits of the paper napkins to the jar, then added glitter and paint and stuff. Then, I use them for candle holders, which looks neat because the designs are all transparent and stuff. Sometimes I add ribbon to the jar too.

Well, it works well enough, but I was wondering if anyone had some ideas to take it up a notch? Any decorating ideas for this sort of odd recycled craft art? Any suggestions at all are welcome. :)
