Pouch Tutorial with pictures.
Nov. 22nd, 2005 12:32 pmI posted my new pouches yesterday and while this isn't the most finished way to make them, it is the easiest. I just ask that no one hot link to these photos, I don't want to get nailed with my hosting.

The two pieces of cut material.

Pin the right sides together and sew around the entire thing leaving a small opening at one end to turn it right side out.

Turn pouch right side out and sew up small opening.

Sew zipper on to the pouch as shown.

Attach zipper to other side of pouch.

Zipper should be attached as shown.

Flatten pouch so that there is about an inch at the top, pin if needed.

Sew down both sides being careful not to hit the zipper, this could cause the needle to break.

Turn right side out and enjoy the pouch.
These can be made in any size or shape. You can skip some of the steps if making them in vinyl, you won't need a lining so you won't need to sew two pieces together, you can go right from cutting out the vinyl to sewing on the zipper.
