craftgrrl | Some help, plus past crafts

Hey-
I'm working on some Christmas cards for my sisters. And the rest of my family too...
I need some advice. I have this one:

and I'm wondering does it need a flash to look more like a camera? I had a light yellow square in the corner as was in my template, but it looked weird...

What do you think I should do to the front? That one arm is longer than the other so has to stick out...And if I fold the arms they look like they are broken when you open it up to the hug

I wanted to show my other things that I don't have questions on because I have a digital camera and I think I have internet knowledge...We'll see if this post works.
