I hope this isn't too OT, but I thought you Grrls would like my new comic strip, launching today:



It's basically about a group of quirky crafters, like yourselves.

These are the folks:

Jasmine Frith. Fourth-year textiles student. She loves making her own clothes, and has a yarn pile roughly four times her body-weight.

Kumiko Brown. (nickname Kumi). Graduated with a BA in accountancy last year and now works for a small firm. Has been Jasmine's girlfriend since first year. Makes her own books. Is easily distracted by shiny things.

Marigold Bennett (nickname Merry, because she loves Lord of the Rings). Third-year english student. Brilliant knitter who is always finding new stitches and techniques, but never finishes projects. Would kill a human being in cold blood to protect her dreadlocks.

Sumitra Curtis (nickname Sumi). Second-year computer scientist, has a job doing web design. She has an interest in chemistry, especially making her own cosmetics. Marvin is her hero. ()

Emily Bean. Also a second-year computer scientist, but very rarely attends lectures. Has hoodies in every colour of the rainbow and twenty-three iPod cosies, seventeen of which were made before she got the iPod.

Guy Carmen. First-year archeaologist. Has an odd fascination with crocheting wallets - he's not very good at complicated patterns. Tends towards sarcasm.

The Cat. Turns up whenever there's yarn nearby.

It doesn't load very well on some connections, but if you refresh a few times it should come up. I'm hoping to switch hosting to comicgenesis.com, which should hopefully be a bit better.

EDIT: Now I have a "large print" option, which gives you the comic double-size if your eyes complain at the teeniness of the normal size.
