for those who are sewing machine savvy:

can i use an invisible zipper foot to attach regular zippers? what is the difference between the way the two feet work?

do any of you guys use an industrial sewing machine? mine is like the kind you would see in a factory (attached to a table with a big pedal to make the needle move) ... and for those of you with commercial machines, how do you get the needle to move? i'm curious because i don't think i've ever watched someone sew with a regular home machine.
