a 'little' project
Dec. 6th, 2005 10:34 pmThe week before school started I took time off of work to stay home with my son. I agreed to also babysit his best friend and his sister as well. The boys were very wrapped up in their boys-only stuff, so I got out my old miniatures magazines to show Miss H. (we had gone to the fair and had seen a miniatures project entered at the 4-H booth). We then decided to do our own. We only worked on this for 2 1/2 days, but it was great fun (particularly for a 9yr. old girl!), and turned out so cute!
I had made a similar sort of vignette as a Christmas gift once- I got a set of graduated cookie tins with Santa on them- one held homemade cookies, the next homemade candy, and the final smallest one, a scene with Santa, a mantle and tree, and a little girl just waking up on the couch to catch Santa.

It was an easy vignette setting! Just a wrapped shoe box!

Inside is not what you'd expect- an entire party!

Pinata, gifts, and there's a photo of H. on the wall

There are DVDs peeking out- Thumbelina and Indian in the Cupboard!

Buffet table with party hats, party blowers, confetti, flowers (in a glass bead vase), cake, punch, chips (pizza pepper seeds), and ice cream (a paper cylinder filled with styrofoam and white glue, a coupon label cut out and place around the outside)

The party blowers were my favorite!
