Clarification
Dec. 14th, 2005 06:15 amFunny story.
So almost a month ago, I opened up an online shop with a bunch of handmade monster dildo cozies. I did not post them in this community at the time, since selling is against the rules.
However, I just received a nasty email accusing me of ripping off someone who posted a monster dildo cozy a few days after I opened my shop and cross-promoted my items on several selling communities (Nov 17). The cozy in question was posted on Nov 20 in this community.
I would really like to know how I managed to rip someone off before they even posted their work.
So, anyway. Here's a link to a post promoting a sold cozy: (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fetish_auctions/189961.html). You will see that there is a comment from the 18th to corroborate my story. (Not to mention the fact that I spent some time prior to Nov 17 developing my stock, website, filing various business-related papers, and purchasing an ad that appeared in the current issue of Bust). I'm hoping that this does not violate the rules, since the cozy posted is not available for sale and I removed all links to my shop.
Normally, I wouldn't bother since I knew other people would make similar items from the start (I certainly didn't invent the concept of a dildo cozy - I just make monster dildo cozies). However, I don't appreciate being accused of things that simply didn't happen. And, frankly, I don't know if this is something they did on their own, or if there is a posse of crafters with torches behind them.
Another cozy you can't buy:

ETA: OK, I've had my say and I'm calmer now. Here's an amusing picture to make up for the stressball post I just inflicted on you all:

:) A customer sent that in.
