Gift Wrap Improvisation
Dec. 15th, 2005 12:15 pmNot having any of the fundamentals of gift wrapping available (i.e. giftwrap, tape, scissors, ribbon, gift tag), I was forced to improvise.
I wrapped my friends' Christmas presents in tissue paper the department store wrapped the clothes I bought last month (nice blue and green stripes), tied up with merino handspun yarn I wound off the bobbin on my spinning wheel. Then, I took some file folder labels (the kind with the colored stripe across the top) and wrote their names on them. Then I popped them in the Global Priority Tyvec envelope and sent them off.
Hopefully, they won't turn them in to the PSNI as suspicious packages.
EDIT: On the suggestion of
homicideisgood,What do you do when you need to wrap a present STAT?
