Blah:




Easy-peasy:
Chopped off the sleeves, scooped the neck. Added an extra piece of black knit fabric to make the band.
Finished all edges.
Used black bias tape to make the tie thingie in the back.
Used same black knit fabric as band to make the little birdie applique.
I used this image to silhouette the birdie:

I used a no-sew double-sided fusible webbing product called Steam-A-Seam.
It worked fabulously...after I actually peeled off the paper! D'oh! It had me stumped for a bit.
And there you go.
