Upholstery Crisis!
<okay so this isn't craft related, but I know you diy miracleworkers can help me here!>
I decided to clean my new used couch since getting it from some folks with a baby. There were some various small but apparent misc. stains on the upholstery as well as general dirt/wear&tear. Overall it was in primo condition, though. The sofa is covered in a blue and white pinstripe and the white is a bit not so white in places. Luckily (or maybe not so luckily) the cushions are all zipped within upholstery so I was able to take off all covers and throw them in the wash. To get that dull white a little brighter, I first soaked all the covers in a washer full of cold water with about a 1/4 cup of oxyclean for about 2 hours. I then ran the washer a full cycle. I took them out to dry over night by hanging them in the bathroom. When I took them out they looked fine, but now that they are dry....EEEEK!
**the problem**
There are dark blue lines streaking across the pinstripes in some areas and in others it just looks like there is serious smudge. As though a child with very dirty hands touched it in random places. On top of that horror, one pillow is now bright blue and white striped while its mate looks a bit tee stained next to it. What have I done?! And how can I make this nightmare go away?!?!?!
