Rewritten as it happened in our house yesterday.
A homeless husband and wife, who was pregnant, were looking for shelter. They almost had a shack built of gingerbread and frosting, but the hand of "god" scooped it up and put it in the garbage because it wouldn't stay together.
The pregnant lady couldn't hold it any longer so she had the baby outside.
A wise camel
(I decorated this one)
brought some wise men to watch.
And a free-range sheep wandered by.
The men gave the baby presents.
(I decorated this one, too)
But being unprotected from the wild, a giant hairy beast snatched Mary and chewed on her.
Then "god" noticed and rescued her and put her back with her family and they all partied.
