I started to crochet about two months ago. However, I have only made a scarf for my niece. My question is this: Is knitting or crocheting better for making scarves?

I have enver knitted, andhave looked everywhere for a tutorial. All I can find is complex ones with a whole bunch of jargon I can't understand. Does anyone know of a good site that his pictures? All I want is to know a simple stitch, to make another scarf, but for myself... (I like them wide, and super long)
