craftgrrl | Broadway Plushies!

Hiyaaa, I've been a lurker for a while & finally decided to contribute to the community :P My two friends are HUGE Broadway Musical fans. One really likes Mark from 'Rent' and the other one loves Elphaba from 'Wicked'. So, I decided to make plushies out of the characters and give them to my friends for Christmas. Had to come up with a custom pattern and hand-sew them since I don't have a machine. Keep in mind these are the first ones I've ever sewn, and I'm hoping to improve a LOT ^^;

-Mark from 'Rent'.

-Elphaba from 'Wicked'. Well, you can kiiinda see her in this pic, heh...Her hair and the hat was just way too much fun to do :D Had to hand-dye the green cloth, though...THAT was quite an experience, hehe...

Yes I realize that both of these plushies are extremely naked, but I didn't have enough time to work out clothing patterns. Since then I've come up with a better, more efficient plushie pattern. Hopefully I'll be able to sell a few in a few months after I improve a little more :)
