Here is the tutorial for the mini sewing box.


This is the first tutorial I've ever done, so let me know if I need to clarify anything, or if you'd like more photos.

Cut 2 - 8x8 squares (outside (A) and inside(B) of box)
Cut 1 - 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 square (top of lid)
Cut 1 - 3 5/8 x 3 5/8 square (lid)
Cut 4 - 3/8 x 1 3/4 strips (straps for holding stuff in)

Cut the two 8x8 squares so that each side is 3" long
Trim 1/8" from the ends of B, so that it fits evenly inside A

Score the lines so they sides fold easily (Be careful to not cut all the way through!)

Center the posterboard on the fabric and cut around with a 1/4 inch border
Glue posterboard to fabric

Trim corners and finish gluing fabric around posterboard

On the lid draw a border 3/4 from edge.
Cut through lid on 4 dark lines.
Score all the other lines.

Glue and clamp lid

Cut 4 strips of fabric and glue around the straps

Cut 1/2 slits into piece B.

Insert straps into slits.

Glue piece B into piece A and clamp until dry.

Glue a 2 1/4 x 9 1/2 strip of fabric onto lid.
Cut a 2x2 square of fabric and glue inside lid.

Glue a piece of fabric onto the 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 piece.

Glue on top of lid.
