Aloe in Soap Making?

So I've been thinking about using aloe in soap. I have an aloe plant. Can I just squeeze out the juice into the batch? At what point should I add it (before or after soponification, and to the oil or lye if before)? I'm kinda new at this, but getting the hang of it fast! :)
