Detailing on tshirt stencils

Does anyone have any tips on how to paint on the detail lines onto t-shirts?
I am not very good with a paintbrush so I was hoping there are some easier ways to get fine lines on the thisrt with black ink.
Maybe a calligraphy pen?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
