Here Comes the Bride... again!

A co-worker saw some of my craftwork/sewing, and requested that I make something for her. She is renewing her vows next weekend, and wants me to make a VEIL for her! Oh, I couldn't turn down her request, and honestly it's rather exciting to be a part of something so important for a coworker. I'm a bit worried, though. It's a big undertaking, as I want it to look nice, and it isn't the kind of sewing/craft work that I have done before! I was wondering if I could get some advice from my fellow grrlz before I buy fabric and get started. Fabric advice, beadwork or accessory advice, or even just telling me about a certain hairband or means of keeping it on that you think would work well. I'm open to everything!

She was hoping for something like the following, but obviously not as long. Still, she wants a fairly decent length. ^_^

Obviously I won't be making it quite as long as that second one, and probably closer to the length of the first, or a smidge shorter. Any suggestions before I get started?
