Hello ladies! I almost forgot I was a member, I've been gone so long, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone ask about this:

I'm graduating FSU with my bachelor's in music (+minor in business, +certificate in world music/ethnomusicology) in April. I was at the bookstore today ordering my cap & gown, and noticed the ridiculous price for graduation announcements and thank you cards. 25 sets of everything for $70? I don't care if the envelopes DO have foil on them! I can do better than that cookie-cutter stuff, right?

Since then, I've been looking around for ideas on making my own graduation announcements. I have some ideas, but I'd love some creative input. I'm going for formal-ish over fun (what the family wants, the family gets), but I'm afraid they'll just end up looking cheap.

So, goddesses of design, any ideas?
