Okay. So i sew a lot, and usually i recycle old t-shirts or cheap things from goodwill that i can cut up and sew into something new, since interesting fabric gets expensive. But i've had this growing curiosity about printing on plain fabric - I've only done the iron-on-transfers, but i don't particularly like those; they have a poor quality and fade quickly, and the printer sheets are pricy.

Would any of you know some other, more permanent techniques for printing onto fabrics? [and preferably fitting for a tight pocketbook]
i remember paste mentioning something about Intron machines, is that pretty permanent, or at least considerably better than regular iron on transfers??
