Painting itsy bitsy letters

craftgrrlWhat is the best method to paint itsy bitsy letters onto an object? I'll have to look around to see if I have a small enough brush, but I don't think I have one very tiny. I'm paining some letters on a bead, so there is limited space.
Any suggestions?
