Feb. 12th, 2006 02:10 pmValentine's day is in two days! Aie! What to do, what to do? Craft, of course.
If your name is Joel Amiot, 1) What the heck are you doing on craftgrrl 2) Don't click the lj cut.

Bought him a biggish sketchbook and personalized the first page, careful not to let ink seep through. I'm a lefty and have a beast of a time with calligraphy pens, so I sketched out the letters in pencil and sketched over them with a fine point sharpie.

Had to show of my amazin' wrappin' skills, as well as the outside of the card. I also made him a mix cassette (his car has no CD player) and bought him (sorry) some BOD. I'm sure some of you ladies could whip up some nice manly body spray, but alas, I suck.
The card made with index cards, a free kinkos paper sample pack, sharpie, and national geographic magazine. I cut out a heart from a picture of fire (he's a leo- fire sign) and a heart of water (I'm a pisces- water sign). The inside's a bit lovey dovey, but was created with random nat. geographic lines. Oh, and glitter. Lots of glitter.
If you're stumped for ideas, may I suggest making your guy/bestfriend/mum Hershey Kiss Roses. Other directions with bigger pictures can be found HERE. I also saw a bouquet somewhere on google images that had Reece's cups as little flowers as well.. very cute, yet perfect for nearly any guy.
