craftgrrl | suggestions and crochet

Hi all, I've lurked around here forever, I figure I should probably post something. But first, a plea for a couple suggestions.

1. I have this pile of "reply by" cards from my wedding invitations about a year and a half ago. And I loved our invites, so they're too pretty to just toss. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might want to do with them instead of just having them piled on my desk? I'm sorta stuck. Preferably something sorta easy, I'm not the most skilled crafter at all.
2. I made this cover for my husband's laptop, sort of a laptop sock out of double crochet folded into a pocket with a flap. I'll post a picture of it below. He likes it a lot, but he wanted to figure out a way I could turn it into its own bag with a strap while still being able to see the crochet on the outside. The problem is it's REALLY stretchy so it needs some serious reinforcement to turn it into a nice sturdy bag (when I made it I hadn't realized he wanted it as a full bag). Anyone have any ideas as to what to do with it?

I've made several variations of hats sort of like this for three people now. Just have to get one (and a scarf too) for myself soon.
