Ladybug Invasion!
Feb. 22nd, 2006 01:52 pmThe quilt and the crocheted bag to make a nice ladybug set for my sister.
My mom went to visit my sister to help her out when she had surgery last year. Mom went to take a shower and my sister made a point of making sure to tell her not to hurt the 7 ladybugs that had found thier way into her shower. How they got there I will never know, I was never told and seriously don't think anyone knows, but they couldn't be put outside. It was cold and there was snow everywher and my sister was sure they wouldn't last outside. So thus the ladybug quilt was born for her. She is a huge fan of them.
This is the top to the ladybug quilt for my sister. I crocheted a bag to match it that it will go in when it is sent to her. The rest of it needs to be finished, but the top is the best part. :)
Okay, so maybe so many pics weren't necesarry, but every ladybug was done seperately and they have slight differences in size and placement. it is just a lap sized quilt so it didn't take too long and I am not sure what will be done to quilt it. Maybe stitch in the ditch. That won't take away from the cute ladybugs.
The Ladybug bag that will hold the Ladybug quilt. This bag was a challenge for me. It had so many elements I had never done before like working in the rounds and then going from a flat bottom and working up, but it turned out okay. I ripped this thing out so many times Jeff thought I would never get it done. :)
