These are the first two things that i've cut and sewn from patterns since I was a freshman in high school (almost 10 years ago! Oh my god!), so forgive some of the mistakes.
This is a baby winter outfit. I know it'll still be cold in February, so she'll be able to wear it. It seems so big, though! I wasn't exactly sure how to line the hood (The linking and trim were not in the pattern) so I winged it. I don't like the fact that you can see the seam in the back of the hood and if I make another, I've got a much better plan to line it, but this one will stay like this, since I don't feel the need to rip it apart.

And, a little purse. It turned out pretty well. I wasn't paying attention when I was making it, and ended up grabbing the part for the bottom and sides and sewing it together like it was the strap. I didn't notice my mistake until I'd turned it right side out and pressed it. Then, when I put the lining in, I ended up with the strap inbetween the purse and lining. You live, you learn, huh? =)
I think the outside is a little plain, so I'm trying to think of something to remedy that. I've thought about a little patch or applique, so I might pick one of those up when I go to the store again.
