Spicy Spicy Photo Essay
Mar. 2nd, 2006 08:20 pmI wanted to share a photo essay with everyone of a project I just made tonight.* If you like it, maybe you could make it too, because it's super easy and quite cheap.
It started with a mystery box:

Open it up!

These are watchmaker's cases. They're what, you know, watchmakers use to store their gears and parts, I suppose. I suspect these would also be great for storing pretty much anything small, beads, jewelry, crafty things. They come in different sizes and I bought them from this site: http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=44948&cat=1,43326
Ready to start. Here's a picture of the bottom of one of the cases and a magnet. After cleaning the lids and cases, all I did was put a bit of super glue on the magnet and a little bit on the case itself. They adhered suprisingly quickly.

Here are the spices:

Here are the magnets all on.

I didn't have pretty labels, so this is my temporary solution. They won't really be seen when we're done anyway.

All filled up!

In action!
