my four year old and I made these butterflies during the rainy day yesterday :)

supplies:
-washable markers
-permanent markers
-coffee filters
-wooden clothespins
-water bottle

flatten a coffee filter and use the washable markers to put color all over it. abstract is best!

then spray the filter with lots of water to make the colors bleed together. set it aside to dry.

while that is drying, use the permanent markers to decorate the clothespin/body of the butterfly.

when the filter/wings are completely dry, scrunch it up and put it through the clothespin!

here they are hanging from the ceiling in a corner above his bed.
This is a really great community a friend of mine started and I would love to see it grow and become more active! It is for crafty moms and kids, but you could definitely join even if you don't have kids :) There are more banners on the info page that you can feel free to use if you'd like to spread the word :D
