[identity profile] ectv.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
I hope you guys don't mind me somewhat crossposting this.
I just posted this to DIY_fluff.

Since there was some interest in cloth pads here with the last post about them, I thought i'd share mine! (my first time MAKING them! or using a sewing machine in the last 10 years. lol)

I used "PUL" to make the outer part watertight, 2 large tshirts were recycled into soakers that were quilted to the top layers alone.
the first batch I only used 1 layer of the top fabric. The second batch I did 2 layers.

I can totally tell the difference in sewing though. I haven't sewn much of anything in probably 10 years or more.
I saw my skills definately hone up a tad :)

And FYI : joanne's has the snuggle flannel onsale. I picked up the hello kitty and the duck fabric while I was there buying some snaps (which sucked. I am gonna send them to a diapermaking friend and have snaps put on if I can!)

Also, if anyone wants used lunapads for making patterns or whatever...I had a set of 3 when I first got into cloth, and probably used all 3 of them 3-4x each. I didn't care for them at all...but I hate to TOSS stuff. But buying used pads is weird (I think) so if anyone wants them for free, LMK.

On to the pics!

"large" and "small" pads in almost every print (except the fist and coffee print)
I used a 11" pad to make the bigger ones but shortened them up a little. The smaller ones are roughly 8-9" with a much thinner soaker.

The bigger pads....
