decorated paper mache box
Mar. 21st, 2006 03:06 pmA local craft store was going out of business, with everything 1/2 off, and luckily no one else was buying their paper mache boxes [which are the sturdiest i've ever come across] and after 2 trips left with a little over 20 of them, mostly large ones. I think i floated out on a cloud.
This is one of the little ones, after decoarting:

one side

the other side

inside of the top and bottom

top of the top

bottom [signed by moi in my chicken scratch. at least today i could spell my name right.]
and a picture of everything i bought:

pictures taken from the 'stretch and sew sewing book' from the 70's, w/ vintage pattern pieces layered over it. Painted green on the outside, purple on the inside. glued and sealed with matte finish mod podge. [and yes, it amuses me that when you take the top off you decapitate the ladies.]
none of the box is actually blurry or wonky, i was just lazy and took the pictures on the auto setting, which gave me a small dof.
