Mar. 26th, 2006 05:05 pmBetween downloading soil maps of South America and researching Coca Plant prefs. for a paper due on Thursday, I made a painting.
Since I'm super broke right now, I bought 6 8*10 canvasses from Dollarama and glued them together (if I didn't have a hot glue gun, I think I'd probably cry) to form a 24*20" canvas. Then, with the super cheap paint I bought from Dollarama, as well as the paints I already own, I did 'er up.

I'm pretty happy with it. The quote is from an ani diFranco poem, called "my IQ" and my sister-in-law took the pictures at the Edinborough Botanical Gardens, and then I messed around with the colour sats and contrast, etc in iPhoto. You can still see where the clear gel I used to affix the words and pictures to the painting is, since it hadn't dried when I took the picture.
And, now, for a question. With some of the left-over paint from Dollarama, I painted over a whole bunch of empty containers (yogurt, cinnamon spread, pill bottle, cleaning pad container) with the intent of using them to house some of the smaller, miscellaneous items in my bathroom. The only thing is I'm drawing a blank as to how to personalize each so that I know what's inside (I have high bathroom shelves.) Any suggestions?
Here's a pic:

Cheerio!
