paper lanterns

Hello. I've been a lurker in this community for awhile. This is my first post. I love looking at all of your fun crafts on here. You people are awesome and creative! I'm looking for some advice. I want to do some type of design on white paper lanterns. If you have any ideas, that would be great. Do you think I could use paint on them? What kind do you think would work best?
