cheering up with crafts
Jan. 17th, 2003 12:20 amThis post and this website made me think of something nice we could all pitch in and do for
dorkyschoolgirl's brother and sister. Maybe I'm a big goober, but when I was a kid, I was tormented endlessly by several other kids on our school bus. I just wanted to crawl in a hole and wait for my life to pass by. I discovered that making things was something I could do and it helped me feel soooo much better.
Anyway, I was thinking that we could make a journal, decorate it, rubber stamp it, put collages in it, write inspiring messages in it as well as fill it with fun ideas of things they could make with inexpensive materials. I'd be willing to start it and organize it, if anyone else would want to contribute. I just imagine it would a super cheery thing to receive - a cool crafty book made just for you! Let me know what you think...
