craftgrrl | Marinara Sauce + Cush Pillow = Not Cool!

I figured someone here may be able to help me out!

So, I have a pink squishy cush pillow that I am in love with.

Last night, while sitting in bed eating stromboli, my marinara sauce decided to tip over and spill all over my favorite pillow... I'm a little heartbroken.

On the pillow it says to "spot clean only". Obviously spot cleaning wont remove marinara stains. According to the tag on the pillow, the pillow covering is made from 83% nylon, and 17% polyurethane. Then inside is stuffed with foam polystyrene beads. Would throwing it in the washer and drying on cool hurt my pillow?

I realize it may just be safer to go buy a new one, and they're not expensive to make. But, this one sorta holds some sentimental value.
