Pretty Scarf!
May. 4th, 2006 02:51 amSo now that I'm out of school for the year and am at home, I have nothing better to do but knit. =)
I dyed the yarn myself (I'll be learning to spin soon as well! I can't wait to make my own yarn!) with the vinegar + food coloring solution. I was really pleased with the colors because I had tried dyeing in the past and I never put enough dye in the solution so I came out with very pastel colored yarns.
I figured that I would just knit a scarf because...it's mindless and simple. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, if I'm going to wear it (obviously, summer's coming up, so it's going to sit in the closet for a while yet) or give it to someone.
It was knitted normally every 6 or so rows and then 2 rows of twisted drop stitch:
The whole thing:

The colors are a little light because of the flash on my camera, but it gives you a better idea of the stitches. =)
