My manfriend's birthday was a couple weeks ago. In addition to the things I bought for him, he also got the required crafty presents.

He's kind of obsessed with the Mythbusters. He gets all giddy about rockets and explosions, and he reminds me of a teenage girl with a crush when he always insists on using their first and last names when talking about them. Even if it wasn't his birthday, he still would have deserved some Mythbuster-y goodness for putting up with my new Gilmore Girls episodes that came on at the same time as his new Mythbusters episodes there for a while. ^_^

I baked him a cake!

In addition to being madly in love with eachother, we're also madly in love with garden gnomes. So I spent many a'latenight working on these two little Jeremy-Stacy gnomes.

Jeremy. I made him first and had him sitting around my house, and I had to keep relocating him everytime the real Jeremy was here.

And me!

They're a few inches high. I tried to keep them fairly accurate to the scale of how big a gnome is supposed to be. They're solid polymer clay, except for the hats which are filled with aluminum foil. (I didn't want them to be too heavy and tip over.) Handpainted and detailed. If you look closely, the little button on gnome Jeremy's tool pouch is in the shape of a heart. My only regret is that I used a gloss finish when they probably would have looked better with a matte. I didn't think of this until after they were dry.

In any case,

.

(I can put the second set of pictures behind a cut if it's not ok to post two pictures. I just didn't want them to look overshadowed by the cake.)
