Hello Kitty Pants

Hello everybody,
I recently completed my first pair of pajama pants. Sewing the elastic was very tricky; I broke two needles in the process. Here is a close up of the fabric (it was $1 per yard!):

My sister is modeling the pants.





Do you think it looks funny with no seams on the side? I was lazy, so I cut the pattern on the fold of the fabric.
