Hi all! I just joined the community and wanted to post my latest creations: turning tee shirts from my college years into something warm and cuddly. blankets x2 = lots of pictures so...

The Front

The back. That patch is the front of my sweatshirt that was my first letters. It was an initiation present from my big sister (in the sorority) and I appliqued the embroidery with our names on the sweatshirt pocket (it was originally on the left sleeve, but I wanted to save it) The pocket is still functional, but I found when cutting it that it had been sewn onto the sweatshirt crooked. Oh well.

The Front. The middle square of the second row from the top is actually my spandex singlet uniform! That's the benefit of forgetting to turn in your uniform because its the same day as your graduation and then the team gets new uniforms anyways so it doesn't matter!

And what do you do when you have random other things laying around from college? You sew them on the back for a dosage of randomness :)

Ok, that's all I have for now. If you choose to do this to your own tee shirts, make sure that you iron something like Pellon or other iron on stabilizers to the back of the shirts to keep them from stretching and other such undesirable activities!
